We design bright and colorful glazes to enlighten the hearts of many in an affordable price range. We paint dragonflies, flowers, herons, cranes and birds on our pottery to enhance the vessels. We like to stay as simple as possible as to make it peaceful and beautiful. As you know, pottery is one of the oldest art forms from the beginning of the civilized world. Many of us love the form of the vessels from our hearts for an unknown reason. We believe pottery was meant to enhance our lives and our homes. Seagrove Art Pottery
Jinsong and Carol’s new and colorful Pottery was created when Jinsong Kim and his wife Carol Kim joined forces to create colorful pottery with dragonfly motifs in Mims, Fl. Both have been creating work separately and together for over 31 years. Jinsong and Carol have moved to Seagrove NC to finish creating the work they started in Florida under the Florida Pottery name.
Seagrove Art Pottery has work that is intended to enlighten the space in your home or office with dragonflies, florals, birds etc. with bright colors and pleasing shapes.
Pottery has been in the hearts and souls of both Jinsong Kim and Carol Kim since meeting in Seoul, South Korea over 32 years ago. Since then they have been producing work in many states. Jinsong Kim and Carol Kim have lived in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Chun Chung South Korea, Mims, Florida and now have truly found their home in Seagrove North Carolina.
Seagrove Art Pottery consists of Jinsong Kim, who throws all the pottery, designs all geometric cutouts, and formulated their own clay body and designs all the glazes. Carol Kim paints the dragonflies, florals, birds, cranes, herons and women with under glazes on all the pottery as well as carves the floral, crane, birds and dragon patterns. Carol Kim has studied carving techniques in Korea. Seagrove Art pottery has glazes that are both attractive and food safe.
Seagrove Art Pottery will continue to create colorful and delightful pottery as long as there is clay to throw and pottery to carve or paint.
